Chihuly Garden and Glass in the shadow of the Seattle Space Needle exhibits fine art sculptures and glass objects by Tacoma native Dale Chihuly. The museum’s indoor galleries and outdoor gardens include significant works displayed with natural light to ensure guests a different perspective every time they visit.
The stunning 40-foot-high glass and steel building at the center of the museum is home to one of the largest Chihuly installations in the world. The 100-foot-long sculpture suspended high overhead is composed of cascading glass pieces in stunning hues of reds, orange, yellow, and amber hues.
The art pieces at the Chihuly museum include a mix of new and previously exhibited artworks, installed in the galleries designed by Dale. It is a unique place to view works by this avant-garde artist and co-founder of the Pilchuck Glass School in Washington State.
