Coworking is shared office space among different businesses. It is distinct from co-workers, which describes people working together in the same company or on the same project. Coworking is a great solution for entrepreneurs and small business owners who want to the cost of office space as low as possible, yet enjoy the amenities and infrastructure typically enjoyed in larger companies.

Amenities in a coworking space often include WiFi, conference rooms, a shared printer, and other office equipment. Most locations include a receptionist, custodial services, mail center, coffee service. Coworking spaces may also include food services and even cost-effective healthcare plans. Some spaces have extended opportunities such as business training and networking, as well as socializing.

There are many sizes and styles of coworking to fit different needs and budgets. Cost-conscious spaces will have fewer benefits, while full-fledged corporate offices offer complete business services. There are coworking spaces geared towards the artistic community, entrepreneurs, small businesses, non-profit organizations, and community or social enterprise groups.
