Cowlitz County Fair is usually held the last weekend in July. Thousands flock to this fair located near the Columbia River, which highlights the best of local agriculture and livestock from the area. At least one evening concert features a national music or comedy act. Attendees often camp near the fair, making it a fun way to meet others and enjoy community. Local radio stations are on hand doing giveaways and live broadcasts. Exhibits and community stage are free (we think…they don’t really say on their website). Parking across from Fairgrounds: $10/day or 4-day pass $30. Concert tickets: $25/advance, $30/gate. Carnival rides: no prices on their website that we could find. More info: Cowlitz County Fair.
