What do you get when you cross a Detroit kid steeped in the world of R&B, Blues, Jazz & Funk with an equally music obsessed guitarist from Denmark inspired by an encyclopedia of Rock music from Pink Floyd to The Pixies, who happen to meet in the breakroom of a high-tech firm in Seattle? The answer can only be: Fast Nasties. Guitarist/songwriter Andreas Laursen and lead singer/songwriter Eric Martin had an instant connection when they began playing music together in 2014. Described as “Progressive Blues” or even more descriptively “Motown meets Led Zeppelin”, the duo has had a prolific run of releases that continues to this day. Now emerging after the pandemic, Fast Nasties is back with its boldest, liveliest, and most musically rich record to date, ‘Fast Nasties and Everything Else in the Universe’. The band’s sixth studio album kicks off with lead single, “Havin’ It (Is Only Half Of It)”, a bouncy and bombastic tune with a wry warning for modern listeners never to leave their common sense at home. The album’s street date is May 19 on all digital platforms, with press and touring to follow in summer and fall of 2023.
