The Buckley Log Show is a two-day logging competition where at the end of the second day an “All-Around Logger” is selected, giving the winner bragging rights for the next year! The annual show honors the community spirit of the Pierce County town (about 25 miles SE of Tacoma and 45 miles SE of Seattle) as it preserves the past, celebrates the present, and embraces the future. The event begins on Saturday with a parade down Main Street. The Log Show will start after the parade on the Log Show Grounds. The arena is divided between a beer garden for those 21 and over, and a large family area. Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 10 am-4 pm. Their website and Facebook page aren’t very clear. However, we did message them and got an auto-response that said the show is free and parking is limited, so we’ve added this to our description. Their FB page event states the show is 11am-5pm. But on Saturday, there is a parade at 10am and the show starts around noon. If you go, let us know your experience. It sounds like a fun event and the slideshow on their website looks like it is a fun competition for all ages and genders.
