Enjoy a peaceful walk along the Snohomish River Centennial Trail adorned with luminaries lighting the pathway. The luminaries will be lit at sunset, about 4pm, and will glow until 7pm. The Centennial Trail is a 30-mile paved multi-use path that starts on First Street just east of downtown Snohomish and runs north to Skagit County. Come with friends or family, come to sing Christmas carols, or simply to celebrate the beauty of the winter solstice along the River Front Trail. The walk (in honor of the shortest day of the year) has been held since 2006. Start the walk anywhere along the River Front Trail and follow the lights! On-street parking is available along Maple Avenue adjacent to trail, on First Street near trail terminus (1 block east of Maple Avenue), and at the Senior Center (506 Fourth Street). The event is FREE and registration is not required. More info: wintersolsticewalk | Facebook and Calendar • Snohomish, WA • CivicEngage (snohomishwa.gov)
