The Odd Sea is pleased to present a solo exhibition featuring new oil paintings by PNW artist and scuba diver Jasmine Novack in her premiere show entitled “In The Light Room”. The opening reception to Jasmine’s first-ever show features over a dozen original oil paintings inspired by her time diving. Her works explore a captivating and unique look beneath the ocean’s surface. Jasmine wants to help people see that there is beauty in the darkness and that the ocean is not something to fear. Through her process of photographing and videoing the beauty that she sees while scuba diving in the rich environment of Puget Sound, then using the images as an inspirational source for her paintings, Jasmine brings the depth of the sea to the surface of her canvas.
