The Seattle Weavers’ Guild is an enthusiastic and active group of weavers who get together to share a love of weaving, inspire each other, and learn new techniques. They have members at ev298ery level, from complete beginners to world-renowned professionals. The Guild is among the five largest weavers’ guilds in the country. The guild meets monthly and visitors are always welcome. Their Annual Sale is a showcase for one-of-a-kind handcrafted items, including towels, rugs, blankets, handmade cards, pet accessories, children’s items, hats, bags, jackets, scarves, wraps, jewelry, and yarns along with weaving and spinning tools, handwoven fabrics, handmade buttons, and hand-dyed and surface embellished fabrics for quilters and sewers. You can also see the process of weaving fabric and baskets, spinning yarn, and creating other fiber arts. At the show, you will have the opportunity talk to many of the artists whose work you admire. Proceeds from the sale are used to fund the guild’s volunteer outreach program and to bring talented, internationally-known artists to Seattle to educate members of the guild and the public. Hours: Thursday 5 pm – 8 pm. Friday 10 am – 8 pm. Saturday 10 am – 4 pm. More info: Annual Sale — Seattle Weavers’ Guild (seattleweaversguild.com)
