Seattle’s BrickCon is a convention for Adult Fans Of LEGO®* (AFOL) and LEGO collectors, builders, and enthusiasts from around the country and around the world. If you are interested in LEGO–casually or intensely–you will enjoy the BrickCon Exhibition. It’s the longest running LEGO convention in a single location. In 2023, the Seattle BrickCon location changed to Bellevue.
BrickCon is a two-sided event, with a public show where all the LEGO models are on display for members of the public to see. Every year, over 10,000 adults and children come see the displays. The other half of the event is a private convention, where adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs) can participate in a variety of activities.
About LEGOs
*LEGO is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of play materials. The name LEGO is an abbreviation of two Danish words “leg godt”, meaning “play well”. It’s both the name of the company, and their ideal. The company is committed to the development of children and aims to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow through creative play and learning. LEGO products are sold worldwide.
The LEGO plastic building brick in its present form was launched in 1958. The interlocking principle with its tubes makes it unique and offers unlimited building possibilities. It’s just a matter of getting the imagination going, then letting a wealth of creative ideas emerge through play. DUPLO bricks are twice the size of traditional LEGO bricks, making them easier to handle and less likely to be swallowed by children aged 1-1/2 to 5. Despite their size, DUPLO are compatible with traditional LEGO bricks.
